Sumit Mitra is Head - Group Human Resources and Corporate Services, Godrej Industries Limited and Associate Companies, and a member of the Godrej Management Committee.

Sumit, who joined Godrej as a management trainee, has spent over 20 years working across different Group business including FMCG, Real Estate and Food and Agriculture. He currently leads the people practice and efforts to build a purposeful, authentic, inclusive Godrej employer brand for 20,000 people of 34 nationalities, across 23 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. He has been instrumental in making Godrej an inspiring place to work with an agile and high performance culture that attracts and engages some of the best global talent.

Sumit plays a key role in due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, change management and cross-cultural integration, which form a major part of the Group's aggressive global growth strategy. He also spearheads Godrej Good and Green, the Group's Corporate Social Responsibility focus on creating shared value opportunities to address social and environmental concerns.


Chakradhar Varadarajan is Head - Corporate Legal. He is also the Authorised Signatory for Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Godrej Nature's Basket Limited for all in-house legal advisory and litigation management. Chakradhar plays a key role in adding value to the businesses as a trusted advisor and leads a client-focused in-house legal team to handle corporate, commercial, legal and indirect taxes related issues.

He has been closely involved in managing and advising on risk analysis and mitigation aspects, including litigation management, brand protection enforcement, business advisory, compliance and regulatory. Chakradhar is also the Legal Affairs Committee Head for Home Insect Control Association.

Prior to joining the Godrej Group, Chakradhar served as in-house counsel in companies such as Hindustan Unilever, Cargill India, ITC Limited, Tata Cellular and Nagarjuna Investment Trust.

Chakradhar holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Government Law College, affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He is also the first ever 5-year law graduate to be enrolled with the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad.

Chakradhar lives in Mumbai with his wife and two sons. He loves playing chess, going on long walks and surfing TV channels.


Shireesh Joshi is Head - Strategic Marketing Group.

Shireesh joined Godrej in 2012. He leads the Strategic Marketing Group's vision of building a stronger Godrej brand, driving group wide marketing excellence at all levels, and providing business teams with solutions to a variety of strategic questions and tasks.

Prior to joining Godrej, Shireesh was the Chief Marketing Officer of Bharti Airtel Limited where he led key marketing and sales initiatives. He also spent over 10 years in China, Taiwan and Singapore in various roles.

Shireesh is an emerging markets expert and has driven revenue and profit success of global and Indian brands in diverse Asian markets and market positions. He has created pioneering work in organisations that he has worked for and won international awards for successful insights, innovation, strategy and design.

Shireesh holds an MBA in Marketing from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a B.Tech in Electronics from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Shireesh lives with his wife and two children and together they love traveling to off beat locations. He is an avid photographer, movie buff and loves to read fiction. He is also an amateur musician and member of a band that plays live concerts every year.


P. Ganesh is Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.

He is responsible for setting up a Finance Centre of Excellence across Godrej Industries and Associate Companies. Additionally, he also focuses on Godrej Industries' portfolio management, investor relations, and secretarial operations.

Ganesh started his career in Godrej as a Management Trainee. He has been instrumental in the implementation of the EVA framework in the Godrej Group. He has also been closely associated with the first acquisition made by Godrej Consumer Products, namely Keyline Brands Limited, where he had a two year stint (2006 - 08) as the CFO.

Ganesh is a Chartered Accountant and also completed CS and ICWA. Ganesh enjoys playing with his kids during his free time. He loves listening to music and watching cricket and tennis. Ganesh lives in Mumbai with his parents, wife and two children.


Jamshyd N. Godrej is the Chairman and Managing Director of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited, the holding company of the Godrej Group. Godrej and Boyce has diverse businesses ranging from refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, office and home furniture, security equipment for banks (such as safes, strong room doors, bank lockers, etc.) and for commercial establishments and homes, locks and latches, forklift trucks and warehousing equipment, to process equipment for chemical, petrochemical, refineries and allied industries, precision tools for sheet metal, zinc, aluminium and real estate development.

The Godrej group is a leader in home appliances, consumer durables, office equipment, industrial products, consumer products and services.

Jamshyd is the Chairman Emeritus of Aspen Institute India. He is the Trustee and President Emeritus of World Wide Fund for Nature - India. He is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and Chairman of India Resources Trust. He is a Director of World Resources Institute, USA, Director of Climate Works Foundation, USA and Director of Global Footprint Network, USA. He is a member of the Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Committee. He is the Past President of Confederation of Indian Industry and also the Past President of the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association.

Jamshyd is the Chairman of the CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre. The Centre is housed in a LEED Platinum demonstration building which is the first green building in India and the greenest building in the world at the time when it was rated. The Green Business Centre is a Centre of Excellence for green buildings, energy efficiency, energy conservation, non-conventional energy sources, water policy, water conservation, etc.

Jamshyd is an ardent yachting enthusiast and has done extensive cruising along the west coast of India, the Baltic & North Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea.

For his contribution to Indian industry, Jamshyd has been the recipient of several awards and recognitions including the 'Padma Bhushan', conferred upon him by the President of India on 3rd April 2003.


Sujit Patil is Head - Corporate Communications.

He drives corporate and brand PR and is responsible for building and sustaining the Group's reputation across diverse stakeholders. Sujit has been instrumental in enhancing strategic PR capabilities within the Group. He has played a key role in training spokespersons, defining crisis communication guidelines, strengthening media relations and streamlining PR measurement metrics. Under his leadership, Godrej won the prestigious Diamond SABRE Award South Asia 2015 - Company of the year for best use of PR for building corporate reputation.

Prior to joining Godrej, Sujit led Corporate Communications in Tata Chemicals Limited, a global Chemicals company with operations across four continents. He has also worked with Larsen and Toubro Limited and Emerson Process Management. Sujit has extensive experience in working across the communication spectrum including in global branding, sustainability and M&A.

An instrumentation engineer, Sujit completed his MBA in Marketing and a Diploma in Advertising and PR. Over the years, he has won over 150 national and international awards for internal and external communication and is a regular speaker at key industry conferences including the World Communication Forum, Davos.

He is among the three globally accredited business communicators in India, certified by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). He is also the winner of the IABC International Gold Quill award, the only Indian communications professional to win this global accolade thrice. Sujit was recently appointed as the Chairman of the Mumbai chapter of Young Indians, an integral wing of CII.

Sujit lives in Mumbai with his wife, Shubhangi and daughter, Shivani. He loves to travel, meet people, explore cultures and try different cuisines. He also enjoys farming, kickboxing and is an advocate of sparrow conservation.


Swaminathan Venkatachalam is Head - Corporate Audit and Assurance.

Swamy joined Godrej in 1989. He specialises in risk, controls and compliance management; fraud risk management; internal financial control; information technology; security and safety risks and other specialised audits. Under his leadership, the Godrej Group's internal audit practices were rated among the best in India in 2014 and were published in a book. Swamy was also named among the top 14 Chief Audit Executives in India.

Swamy is a member of several professional bodies including Chief Audit Executive Forums, consultative committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and

Institute of Fraud Examiners, USA. He is also a regular speaker at industry forums.

A Commerce graduate and a Cost Accountant, Swamy also holds an Executive Master's degree in Management from SP Jain Institute of Management. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor from IIA-USA and Information Systems Auditor from ISACA, USA.

Swamy lives in Mumbai with his wife and daughter. Together, they enjoy traveling to different places.


Clement Pinto is Chief Financial Officer, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

Clement started his career as a Management Trainee at the erstwhile Godrej Soaps in 1996. Widely recognised for his expertise in treasury management, he was involved in critical capital raising and restructuring initiatives, including the demerger of Godrej Soaps Limited and the merger of Godrej Industries Limited and Wadala Commodities Limited.

He is a member of the Forex Committee and Risk Management Committee of Godrej Industries (Chemicals).

Over the years, he has strongly contributed to the business, especially in the fields of working capital management, risk management, fixed cost control and financial analysis and structure. Clement was also a designated Partner on the Board of Godrej Vikhroli Properties LLP and Director on the Board of the erstwhile Wadala Commodities Limited.

A Chartered Accountant, Clement was a rank holder and received several proficiency certificates for his academic excellence. He has also received many industry accolades, including the CFO100 Roll of Honour from the CFO India Institute, CFO of the Year from Stars of the Industry Group and Asian Confederation of Businesses and

National Award for CFO (100) Excellence from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Clement is passionate about helping people and believes in giving back to the society.


Rob Menzies is Head – Corporate Strategy and Planning.

Rob Menzies is head of strategy for Godrej Industries Limited and Associated Companies (GILAC). As such, he is responsible for long term strategy and planning across Godrej's consumer products, agri, real estate, chemicals and retail businesses. His areas of responsibility include portfolio and business unit strategy, brand strategy, organization, profitability improvement and M&A/divestments. He is also secretary to the Group's performance linked compensation committee and serves on the board of BBLUNT, the salon and beauty products business.

Prior to joining Godrej, Rob was a Principal at Bain & Company, an international strategy consulting firm. He focused on a combination of consumer and industrial businesses and worked across Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Rob has also served in the British Army, as a Second Lieutenant in the Queen's Gurkha Engineers.

Rob has a Masters of Manufacturing Engineering from Cambridge University and lives in Mumbai with his wife Farah and two daughters, Kiara and Alena. Aside from spending time with his family, Rob loves to travel and is a keen, if unaccomplished, football player
and surfer.
