Arvinder is Head - Sales and Marketing, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

In his current role, Arvinder is driving a relentless focus on customisation of products. He had been instrumental in accelerating business profitability and diversifying GIL Chemicals' portfolio to include specialty products.

Arvinder joined Godrej in 1994 as an Assistant Sales Manager. In 1999, he went on to become the Business Manager for the Fatty Acids and Glycerine categories. He took on the role of National Sales Manager in 2001 and was given the additional responsibility to lead international sales for Fatty Alcohols. Over the last decade, he has been expanding

the product portfolio to include value added grades derived from mustard oil.

Prior to joining Godrej, Arvinder served as a Research Assistant in Unilever Research Centre. He has also worked with Reliance Industries Limited as a Sales Officer.

A Chemical Engineering graduate, Arvinder also holds a Management degree from SP Jain College of Management & Research, Mumbai.

Arvinder is married to Ginny, who is a homemaker and they have a son. He is an avid yoga enthusiast and enjoys running.


Nadir Godrej is the Managing Director of Godrej Industries and Chairman of Godrej Agrovet. He is also a Director of numerous firms including Godrej & Boyce Co Ltd, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, Indian Hotels Co Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

A veteran of the Indian industry, Nadir has played an important role in developing the animal feed, agricultural input and chemicals businesses owned by Godrej. His active interest in research related to these areas has resulted in several patents in the field of agricultural chemicals and surfactants.

With his tremendous experience and expertise, Nadir has also contributed to the development of a variety of industries by participating keenly in industry bodies such as the Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association of India, Indian Chemical Manufacturers Association, and Oil Technologists' Association of India.

Currently, Nadir is the President of Alliance Française de Bombay. For his contribution to Indo-French relations, the French Government has honoured him with the awards of "Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite" and "Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur".

A Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, Nadir completed his MBA from the Harvard Business School. He lives in Mumbai, India with his wife and three children.


Nitin Nabar is Executive Director and President, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals). He also serves on the Board of Directors of Godrej Industries Limited and as the Manufacturing Council Head for the Godrej Group.

Nitin started his career with Godrej as an Executive Trainee in 1989 at the erstwhile Godrej Soaps Limited. Over the years, he has worked in leadership positions across diverse business functions including sales, marketing, commodities, exports, imports and purchase.

He played a key role in building and expanding the export market of the Chemicals business. Under his leadership, the business now exports products to over 80 countries.

Nitin also actively champions environmental sustainability initiatives across the business.

Nitin is the Chairman – Cosmetics of Chemexcil, an export promotion council for the chemicals industry. He has also been a member of the taskforce setup by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers to help in the growth of the oleochemicals industry in India.

Nitin has a B.Sc (Technology) degree from University of Mumbai, Department of Chemical Technology and an MBA from Welingkar Institute of Management, Development & Research in Mumbai.

In his free time, Nitin likes to travel and meet people.


Atul Prakash is Head - Marketing and Supply Chain, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

Atul joined Godrej Industries in 2008 as Associate Vice President – Corporate Technical Services and was responsible for stabilising and improving surfactants operations and driving special projects.

In his current role, Atul is responsible for overall manufacturing operations of the Chemicals business. He also leads new projects and expansions. Atul has a keen interest in energy conservation and he champions green initiatives for the business.

Prior to joining Godrej, Atul worked across a range of leadership positions with Indian and multinational companies in specialty chemicals and surfactants.

Atul completed his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT-Kanpur and M.Tech from IIT-Madras. He is also a certified Total Productive Maintenance instructor from the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance.

Atul is married to Anubhuti and they have a daughter. Together, they enjoy cooking and traveling. In his free time, Atul likes to play chess and read.


Clement Pinto is Chief Financial Officer, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

Clement started his career as a Management Trainee at the erstwhile Godrej Soaps in 1996. Widely recognised for his expertise in treasury management, he was involved in critical capital raising and restructuring initiatives, including the demerger of Godrej Soaps Limited and the merger of Godrej Industries Limited and Wadala Commodities Limited.

He is a member of the Forex Committee and Risk Management Committee of Godrej Industries (Chemicals).

Over the years, he has strongly contributed to the business, especially in the fields of working capital management, risk management, fixed cost control and financial analysis and structure. Clement was also a designated Partner on the Board of Godrej Vikhroli Properties LLP and Director on the Board of the erstwhile Wadala Commodities Limited.

A Chartered Accountant, Clement was a rank holder and received several proficiency certificates for his academic excellence. He has also received many industry accolades, including the CFO100 Roll of Honour from the CFO India Institute, CFO of the Year from Stars of the Industry Group and Asian Confederation of Businesses and

National Award for CFO (100) Excellence from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Clement is passionate about helping people and believes in giving back to the society.


Dr. Sandeep Gharat is Head - R&D and New Product Development, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

Under Sandeep’s leadership, Godrej Industries setup its new research laboratory in Ambernath. He also successfully led collaborations with institutions, initiated technology tie-ups and targeted takeover of small operations. Value unlocking in existing processes/products and value creation through new product development are the two important pillars of Sandeep’s strategy. With this thinking, his team has identified some diversified business areas related to fuel lubricity, green surfactants, and value added oleo products as their long-term development targets.

Sandeep has over 25 years experience in the Indian chemicals industry. He has worked across a wide range of leadership positions in Pharma, Agro and Speciality chemicals. He has also led various functions including engineering, EHS, R&D and operations in both western and Japanese management systems.

Sandeep holds a Ph.D. (Technology) in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. He is also a member of the Chemical Engineering Research Council at ICT.

Sandeep is married to Manjiri and they have a son, Yashodhan. In his spare time, Sandeep enjoys listening to Marathi and Hindi music. He is a Rotarian and is also associated with many social organisations.


Sumita is General Manager – Human Resources, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

In her current role, Sumita is responsible for talent management, performance and rewards management, and employee recognition initiatives. She has also been instrumental in setting up an internal knowledge-sharing platform.

Sumita joined Godrej Agrovet in 2010 and was a part of the team that institutionalised online processes for performance and recognition management. In 2012, she moved to the Corporate HR team and played a key role in streamlining the group level induction programme.

Prior to joining Godrej, Sumita worked in diverse HR verticals across sectors including IT, Financial Services and Manufacturing.

A Commerce graduate from Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, Sumita also has an MBA in Human Resources from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.

Sumita lives in Mumbai with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to hill stations.


Apeksha Jain is Head - Human Resources, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

Apeksha comes with 10 years of experience in the FMCG and telecom industry. She started her career with sales and went on to practice human resources, where she took on business partnering responsibilities across plants, sales regions, corporate functions and talent acquisition.

She has been awarded with numerous internal, external and global and national awards for her exemplary contribution towards business. She has also been recognised as an emerging HR leader in the country.

Her expertise lies in talent management, industrial relations, business partnering, sales and talent acquisition. She is a Computer Science Engineer from Rajiv Gandhi University (2007) and she also has an MBA in Human Resources (2009).

Apeksha is married to Dinanath Pai and they have a daughter named Preisha. Apeksha enjoys badminton, palmistry, and spending time with her daughter.
