Rakesh Swami

Rakesh Swami is Group Head and President – Corporate Affairs at Godrej Industries Group and has been with the organisation since 2022. In his role, he leads corporate affairs and public policy engagement, strengthening government partnerships and enabling business growth through strategic advocacy.

With nearly 25 years of experience, Rakesh has worked across corporate affairs, public policy, and government relations with organisations such as Honeywell, Reliance Industries, Essar Energy, Tata Motors, John Deere India, and General Electric. He has played a key role in shaping policy interventions and driving strategic engagement across sectors, including working closely with central and state governments on initiatives related to industrial development, infrastructure, and emerging policy areas in India.

Rakesh holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Haryana Agricultural University and an Executive MBA from Symbiosis International University. He is also a member of the Research Council at the CSIR– Central Scientific Instruments Organisation.

He enjoys cricket, yoga, trekking, travelling, and long-distance running.
