V Swaminathan

V. Swaminathan is Group Head – Audit and Assurance at Godrej Industries Group and has been with the organisation for over 30 years. He leads the Group’s internal audit function, strengthening governance, risk management, and compliance across businesses and geographies.

Over his tenure, Swaminathan has built and led a high-performing audit function supporting a diverse portfolio spanning chemicals, FMCG, real estate, financial services, and agri businesses across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University, is a Cost Accountant, and has a Master’s in Management from SP Jain Institute of Management. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and an active member of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), US.

He is an active member of several professional bodies, including industry forums and professional associations in audit and risk, and speaks at forums on audit, risk, and compliance.
